Portable Concrete Traffic Barriers

Using Welded Wire Reinforcement in Precast Concrete Barriers can save both time and money. The precast concrete barriers can be stored for future use either in the yard of the Precaster or at some other site, such as a Highway Department materials yard.

These barriers have become widely used on highway projects as temporary construction barriers as well as permanent median barriers. The length can vary from ten feet to thirty feet and can be reinforced with a single bent cage of WWR.

Portable benders heavy enough to bend large wire can be found in most precaster’s plants and enables the precaster to use large sheets of WWR to reinforce the barriers quickly and economically.

A use for the highly portable precast concrete barriers as security barriers has become more commonplace in recent years.
