Welded Wire Reinforcement

Insteel is the largest producer of welded wire reinforcement ("WWR") in the United States. We offer a broad range of WWR products including engineered structural mesh, standard welded wire reinforcement and concrete pipe reinforcement. Our highly experienced sales team is ready to provide you with the service and support that you need to meet your specific reinforcing requirements.

Engineered Structural Mesh

Engineered Structural Mesh

Insteel produces engineered structural mesh ("ESM") for a broad range of commercial, infrastructure and residential construction applications. ESM may consist of plain wires, deformed wires, or a combination of both and is manufactured with a yield strength range of 65ksi to 80ksi for plain wire and 70ksi to 80ksi for deformed wire. We offer a wide range of wire sizes and spacing, providing you with the exact cross-sectional area required to meet the specifications of your project. ESM may be ordered to size, utilizing variable spacing and wire sizes, thereby minimizing oversteeling.

The use of ESM in footings, slabs, walls and roofs provides uniform stress distribution and effective crack control. ESM also provides shear resistance and confinement reinforcing when used in columns, beams and girders. Other uses for ESM include, but are not limited to, drainage structures, sports venues, tunnels and roadway/bridge barriers.

The ease and speed with which ESM is handled and installed saves substantial time during placement and allows for significant reductions in steel area and weight. These benefits translate into reduced costs and increased value for the end user.

Our ESM products conform to ASTM A1064 (replaces A185 for plain welded wire and A497 for deformed welded wire).

Standard Welded Wire Reinforcement

Standard Welded Wire Reinforcement

Insteel produces a broad range of standard welded wire reinforcement products ("SWWR") in both rolls and sheets. When properly placed in concrete slabs on grade, SWWR helps reinforce the concrete after cracking and is a critical element in its performance. The wide variety of wire sizes (W1.4 to W/D4) and spacings that are available make it possible to furnish accurate cross-sectional areas of steel required to reinforce residential and light commercial slabs.

We stock SWWR in several standard widths and lengths, which allows us to ship your orders upon receipt. Requests for epoxy-coated and hot-dipped galvanized SWWR are easily accommodated.

Our SWWR products conform to ASTM A1064 (replaces A185 for plain welded wire and A497 for deformed welded wire).

Concrete Pipe Reinforcement

Concrete Pipe Reinforcement

Insteel produces concrete pipe reinforcement ("CPR") for a wide range of pipe sizes and types, providing circumferential structural integrity for round, elliptical and arch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP). CPR is manufactured to meet specific steel area requirements for all RCP diameters, classes, and wall thicknesses, and may be positioned and proportioned with combinations of inner and outer cages, quadrant mats and alternate elliptical cages. Convoluted (flex wire) CPR is available for large bell RCP. CPR is produced on automatic welding machines for exact placement of circumferential and longitudinal wires and is available in REGular wind (cross wires outside) or REVerse wind (cross wires Inside).

We produce CPR using both plain (W) and deformed (D) wire. Plain wire is manufactured to 65 ksi as a standard and up to 80 ksi if specified, while deformed wire is manufactured to 70 ksi as a standard and up to 80 ksi if specified.

By producing CPR with exact steel areas and precise designs, we can eliminate unnecessary stockpiling of steel materials and oversteeling. Each order can be customized to meet the unique requirements of your concrete pipe manufacturing equipment, thereby eliminating waste. We also stock standard styles of CPR from steel area .07 through .72 for immediate delivery. In addition, we can provide engineering support and, in some cases, provide "pipe car" analysis for "customer" and "engineer of record" approvals.

Our CPR products conform to ASTM A1064 (replaces A185 for plain welded wire and A497 for deformed welded wire).
